Barb (Bolton) (1957 – ) and Jim Buck (1953 – )

Barb and Jim are active volunteers with leadership roles in many organizations. Barb has been a long-serving Homecraft Division Committee member of the Norwood Fair. She was a member of the 2006 International Plowing Match Queen of the Furrow Committee.
Jim is a dedicated Director of the Norwood Agricultural Society, serving for 46 years and was President in 2006-2007. He was instrumental in negotiating the purchase agreement for the Norwood Community Centre and park land from the Agricultural Society. Jim has been awarded the Norwood Fair Agricultural Service Award, the Asphodel-Norwood Agriculture Leadership and Community Impact Award.
Jim and Barb have been supporters of Peterborough County 4-H hosting countless meetings. Jim has led 4-H field crops clubs for 20 years.
For the past 30 years Jim has been Secretary/Treasurer of Peterborough County Soil and Crop Association. He was also President of East Central Soil and Crop Association. Jim plans yearly bus tours for farmers and 4-H members to see diverse farm operations.
The Buck family have hosted many events including 4-H Judging, hay and tillage demonstration days, and bus tours. In 2015, they hosted the Peterborough County Plowing Match.
